About the Zug Alliance

Our objectives

The ZUG ALLIANCE aims to achieve the following objectives through cooperation between commercial enterprises, research institutions, and public bodies and institutions, focussing on the research, development, financing, production, provision and operation of sustainable projects.

Rapid decarbonisation

The legally compliant decarbonisation of industry, mobility and infrastructure as quickly as possible, while taking economic and social aspects into account.

Secure energy supply

Increase the resilience and security of energy supply at optimised and affordable costs by increasing the production of renewable electricity and synchronising it with the time of consumption – including by using batteries and other buffers for temporary energy storage. In addition, different forms of energy are to be combined in order to build up an efficient overall system by means of sector coupling.

Smart networking

Optimised networking and decarbonisation of all modes of transport – both public transport and motorised private transport. This includes mobility solutions as well as an easily accessible charging infrastructure that is optimally integrated into the energy grid.
